The weekend before the 4th of July we joined my cousin, her husband and a group of people that go to Lake Placid, Florida every year. They stay at the Lakeside Cottages that is right on Lake Clay and play on their jet-skis all weekend long. This year we finally accepted their invitation.

 

Even though I’m pretty proud of the video above because I learned a few new editing techniques and tried it out on this one, it still doesn’t do this place any justice. The cute little cottage we stayed in was a pretty good price too.

There is a Publix down the road, but we still came prepared with coolers full of beer and food so we can drink and grill all weekend and boy did we. Lake Clay is good bass fishing. You can find a public boat ramp a block up the road, and plenty of room in the lake to jet-ski and get pulled around on a tube.

All in all, this place was very relaxing and a great time. We are all trying to come up with a good reason to go there more often.
